Qualified, independent & local Pilates classes
Any age group, body type, and ability level is welcome at The Core Club Pilates - I absolutely encourage the most inexperienced of the beginners to come along in order to see what Pilates can do. The group classes are welcoming and friendly, and I pay direct attention to every single participant in order to help them progress and get the most out of our sessions. Everyone has to start somewhere, and I hope it's with me!
All classes are held by me, where I will watch your personal development to help show you more improvements. Classes are typically block-booked in periods of 5-6 weeks, but I offer drop-in sessions where space allows. Booking is essential for all classes, so please contact me (details can be found at the bottom of this page) beforehand. Mats are provided for your first few classes, but I encourage you to bring your own once you have attended a few sessions. Please wear comfortable clothes (jumpers and fleeces for relaxation are welcome) and remember that Pilates is done barefoot or in socks.

Pilates is a full body exercise invented by Joseph Pilates, who taught that one of the core principles of his method (then called Contrology) was gaining complete control of your own body. Today, Pilates instructors teach the eight principles: concentration; relaxation; alignment; breathing; centring; coordination; flowing movements; stamina. By following these principles, I guarantee that it will improve your mind and body in more ways than one.
Pilates relies on core muscular development and control. You should feel your body respond & change to the conditioning exercises more throughout your time at The Core Club.
The exercises we perform in our classes will help to foster improved balance as your core stability muscles develop.
Our classes are tailored to increase the control you have over your body, gradually helping you to become more flexible and aware - therefore more coordinated in your daily life.
Pilates can help to regulate and improve your lung capacity & health as we teach controlled breathing techniques. These can help you relax and de-stress in your hectic daily life.
